Cruises & Land Vacations… As a Family and As a Couple!
I once had a friend tell me about a comment someone made…. that we travel too much. The kids have good attendance in school, excellent grades, great socialization skills, and respect others, so why not? As each family is on their own personal journey to get the MostPerMile out of life, the amount and distance one family travels can differ vastly from one another.

Some prefer land vacations, some prefer cruises, some relish the road trips in the RV or cozy in their normal vehicle, but it varies from family to family. Ironically, in 2013, we visited 13 different countries…. and we would have packed up again to head out in a heartbeat if we could. From learning about the parliament in Canada, WWII siege tunnels in Gibraltar, covering our heads to enter the Blue Mosque in Turkey, eating crepes in France, shucking oysters straight from the Adriatic Sea in Croatia, eating baklava in Greece, or hearing the gush of amazing waterfalls in Iceland, we always attempt to get the MostPerMile out of everything we do… whether we travel too much or not. Was it educational? You bet!

Did we start out with a goal of 13 in ’13? Nope. It just happened to be that way at the end of the year! As YOU are in your personal journey to get the MostPerMile, my best advice is to ignore what others tell you. Do what’s best for YOU and YOUR family to live it to the max! Kids are resilient and go with the flow… so what if they fall asleep as you walk in front of the Duomo in Milan, Italy once again (at least they were awake for DaVinci’s Last Supper painting!)… wear Santa hats at Castaway Cay… see their first topless beach in France (albeit unexpectedly)… or you and your husband spend hours outside gazing at a volcano from the beautiful Nayara Resort in Costa Rica wrapped in bathrobes after that outdoor dual shower… it’s all about making the MostPerMile with your family in regards to your time together!
