Way Down Yonder on the Chattahoochee….

Kids are resilient, I tell ya!  When your daughter tags along with you for a conference you are attending, instead of arriving a little early to check out the hotel pool, venture out and check out other nearby bodies of water!  In an effort to get the MostPerMile out of any trip, one can easily research the nearby area for unique age-appropriate activities and try them out.

If river rafting for the first time doesn’t create some mother-daughter bonding (and maybe some soaking wet clothes as well), I don’t know what will.  Exhilarating, exciting, pushing you to your limits!

Learning about river safety, history of the area, and fun with complete strangers is a great experience within itself!  I don’t know that I will ever not hear that song and think of this trip, or vice-versa.  Completely unplanned in every way, but making the most on a spur-of-the moment decision.  (Not sure if I told my husband before or after this little excursion, as he was back home in Texas….. hmmm…..)

Not only were the learning opportunities all around us, but helping build self-confidence conquering something a child has never faced is all a part of being a well-rounded parent.  The smiles say it all though!  An excellent unexpected adventure to get the MostPerMile out of a trip to Georgia, and learn a little about ourselves and surrounding nature along the way!
